LED Light Bulbs Sold Separately

LED light bulbs sold separately are covered for the limited warranty period stated on the product packaging. The applicable warranty period begins on the original date of purchase, applies only to the original purchaser, and may vary by product. If no warranty period is stated on the packaging, the LED light bulb is covered for three years from the original date of purchase. Coverage is based on normal usage of a maximum of 12 hours per day at an ambient temperature of 77°F (25°C), unless otherwise stated on the product packaging.

During the applicable warranty period, Thesis will, at its discretion, replace a defective LED light bulb with the same or a comparable product or refund the original purchase price. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover normal reduction in light output, color variation, improper installation, use with incompatible controls or fixtures, operation outside the product’s stated specifications, misuse, abuse, or damage resulting from external causes.

Who is Covered

The Thesis Limited Warranty applies to the original end-use purchaser and the original installation of a product purchased from an authorized Thesis distributor or retailer. The warranty is not transferable, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Proof of purchase showing the product, purchase date and authorized seller is required. A list of authorized Thesis distributors and retailers is available by contacting Thesis at the address below.

This Limited Warranty applies only to products purchased and installed in the United States.

This Limited Warranty is the only express warranty Thesis provides for its products. No distributor, retailer, installer, or other person is authorized to change or extend this Limited Warranty or to make any other warranty or promise on Thesis’s behalf.

Warranty Remedy

If Thesis reasonably determines that a product has a covered defect within the applicable warranty period, Thesis may, at its discretion:

  • Replace the defective product.
  • Provide a comparable substitute if the original product is no longer available.
  • Refund the original purchase price of the product shown on the proof of purchase, either directly or through the authorized seller.

A replacement product may differ in appearance, finish, dimensions or specifications because of product availability, design changes or natural changes in materials over time. A replacement product remains covered for the balance of the original warranty period, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Replacement parts, repair services, and information necessary to maintain or repair Thesis products are not available. This does not apply if Thesis expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific product. This warranty does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Outdoor and Coastal Installations

Outdoor finishes may change over time because of exposure to sunlight, moisture, pollutants and other environmental conditions. Normal fading, chalking, patina, corrosion and deterioration are not defects in materials or workmanship.

Coastal Environments: Locations within 10 miles (16 km) of an ocean or saltwater shoreline may experience accelerated corrosion and deterioration, even with appropriate maintenance. For products installed in these locations, coverage for defects in outdoor finishes is limited to one (1) year from the original date of purchase, unless specifically designated otherwise. Specific weather resistant finishes retain the extended coverage described below. All other warranty periods remain unchanged.

Designated Weather Resistant Finishes: Specific finishes expressly identified by Thesis as eligible receive the applicable extended finish warranty shown in the coverage tables, including installations within 10 miles (16 km) of an ocean or saltwater shoreline. This coverage applies only to exposed surface finishes and does not extend to corrosion of other components.

Integrated LED Coverage

Integrated LED coverage applies to Thesis-supplied LED light engines, modules and drivers. It does not cover failures caused by incompatible controls, dimmers, transformers, occupancy sensors, electrical systems, power conditions or improper installation.

Normal changes in light output or color appearance over time are not defects unless the product fails to meet the lumen maintenance and color performance criteria published by Thesis for the applicable product.

Implied Warranties

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ON A THESIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIOD STATED ABOVE. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

FOR PRODUCTS PURCHASED FOR COMMERCIAL OR HOSPITALITY USE, OR BY A PURCHASER THAT IS NOT A CONSUMER, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ALL OF WHICH ARE DISCLAIMED TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Thesis’s liability is limited to the replacement, substitute or refund described in this warranty, which are your exclusive remedies for a covered defect. Thesis is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, including labor, removal, reinstallation, loss of use or damage to surrounding property. Some states do not tallow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any right or remedy that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
